Today we are taking a lil break from Halloween because today is National Taco Day.
Do you love tacos as I love them?
In one of the previous letters, we voted for the time when it would be convenient for you to receive my letters, and the votes were equally (isn’t it funny, right?) divided between the evening and the morning.
So let's do it again to finally decide on the time and move on to the carnival :)
If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I can eat tacos non-stop as well as write and draw them. I have a lot of silly butts taco characters on my sleeve. You can find ‘em on t-shirts, hoodies, and even aprons :) And on my canvases, of course!
Did you know that you can't get tacos at lunchtime in Mexico?
Although Americans eat tacos at any time of day, in Mexico, they don't. Instead, tacos are available on the street, usually in the morning or late at night, but from noon to 6 p.m., you can find them anywhere. That's because Mexicans usually eat their big meal in the afternoon. But once dusk rolls around, the taco carts are back, ready to fuel those going to or coming from a night of partying.
And I love tacos just for this feeling of nightly cheerful and magic streetlife—a quick snack and back to the carnival with a head.
I love that feeling when you can put everything out of your head for a moment. All that happened during the day and all that awaits us tomorrow.
We are here now, and this is a carnival.
That’s how I feel about tacos, and that’s why they’re one of my most perky characters :)
Tomorrow, I will tell you a story from my future "Silly Butts Food Fun Facts" about the appearance of tacos in this world :) But today…
Today we have an evening and what do you think? Yes, you are right, carnival!
